Writing About Space
Each text box below represents a one paragraph (4 - 6 sentence) essay question. The prompt for each section is written above that text box.
You can use the articles in today's presentation to help you come up with ideas, if you want.
1. If you were asked to explain the Hubble Telescope to a group of sixth graders, what would you tell them? What information would you include, and how would you phrase it?
2. If you were going to create an experiment for the YouTube Spacelab competition, what kind of experiment would it be? What kinds of things would you want to learn with it? Why?
3. If NASA is going to build new space shuttles or aircraft, what other goals do you think they should have for them? Other than fuel efficiency and noise reduction, what other cool or important changes should be made? What do you think should be MOST important in building a space ship?
4. How did you feel about today's quiz? Was it difficult? Easy? Interesting? Boring? Write at least 4 sentences.
